Insta360 went high-end with a webcam that combines premium features and AI.

Insta360 says the Link’s 1/2-inch sensor captures greater detail and has a better dynamic range than comparable webcams in low-light. Logitech Brio’s sensor is 1/4-inch.
The Link supports 720p and 1080p at 60fps and 30fps with HDR, and Ultra HD 4K at 30fps. It sports a 34mm equivalent lens length, F1.8 aperture, 4x digital zoom, and supports H.264 and MJPEG.
AI helps Link in multiple ways. Although the webcam’s 3-axis gimbal allows AI to track and centre your face. there are four view styles offers. DeskView Mode automatically focuses on your tabletop; Whiteboard Mode utilises AI and recognition markers (included) to focus on you or a whiteboard with hand motions, Overhead Mode offers a bird’s-eye view; and portrait mode allows uncropped 9:16 video capture for social media live streaming.
Furthermore whiteboard Mode gestures can be used to enable/disable AI tracking or zoom in/out without a keyboard or mouse. However, the lens automatically points downward after 10 seconds of inactivity. Dual noise-canceling microphones eliminate background noise; and automatic gain adjustment amplifies your speech.
Moreover, the bundled Link Controller programme (for Windows and macOS) offers manual control of webcam settings including brightness, exposure, and gimbal orientation and, It’s compatible with Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
The Insta360 Link webcam, USB-C cable, USB-C to A adapter; and four identification markers cost $299.99. Insta360’s Tripod Kit ($328.99) includes a tiny 2-in-1 tripod, two locking levers, a 1/4-inch mount adaptor, and a handbook.
