Apple’s self-service repair store will start selling MacBook parts on Aug. 23.

Replacement components will only cover 2020 and 2021 MacBook Air and Pro models with M1 MacBooks Arm CPUs. The company hasn’t revealed component prices yet.

The US self-service store opened in April to restore faulty iPhones. Later this year, the company aims to extend to Europe and supply M1 MacBooks replacement parts.

On paper, the self-service store looks to support right-to-repair. Apple’s repair prices for iPhones and M1 MacBooks are expensive. Self-service store isn’t for casual shoppers.
