Specifications ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold
ASUS says the 180-degree hinge will resist 30,000 open-and-close cycles, and the 12.5-inch form factor is smaller than photocopying paper. This makes the gadget adaptable and great for remote workers and frequent travellers because it can instantly unfold to provide additional screen real estate when stationary and fold up when on a plane or in a suitcase. The Zenbook 17 Fold can be coupled with a Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad, and the screen may be split. The device weights 3.31 lb (1.5 kg) without the keyboard and 3.97 (1.8 kg) with it.
Zenbook 17 Fold has a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U processor and Intel Iris X graphics. It contains 16GB of built-in RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. Two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 connectors, 75 Wh battery. ASUS claims 9.5 hours in 12.5-inch mode and 8.5 hours in 17.3-inch mode.
The foldable’s HD IR camera lets users log in with their face for simplicity, speed, and security. A 5MP AI web camera minimises noise for video and conference conversations.
The Zenbook 17 Fold includes WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It boasts Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos quad-speakers and a built-in microphone array for Cortana and Alexa.
Exciting foldable laptops
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is Samsung’s most revolutionary foldable phone to date. Since last year, I’ve used foldable gadgets. Once you find a real purpose for the form size and extra screen space, it’s hard to go back.
Foldable laptops and hybrid tablets are similar. ASUS and Lenovo have been developing foldable computers and tablets for a while, and they make sense for power users and those with significant money. A reasonably specced VR headset costs $2,000-$4,000, but a similarly specced laptop costs less than half that much. Early adoption is pricey, but it’s enjoyable and allows tech fans experience the future sooner.
Still, I’m excited to see this new laptop form factor. With the appropriate software, it might soon replace standard laptops, giving more screen real estate and enhancing remote employees’ productivity.
This is useful for multitasking and using many windows on a single screen. Users may swiftly unfold the tablet and see four decent-sized windows. Most laptops only offer two comfortable-sized windows per screen, unless text and other elements are made smaller.
