Ford made several late-stage revisions to the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E pricing. The electric SUV will cost up to $3,000 extra on Wednesday, according to a Mach-E fan forum thread citing a dealership advisory. Depending on a buyer’s configuration, the EV can be $3,000 more expensive.

Ford didn’t immediately comment on pricing hikes. Ford Mustang Mach-E Select and Premium variants cost $1,000 more, while California Route 1 and GT models cost $2,000 more. The GT Performance Package adds $1,000, while the larger extended-range battery for the Mustang MachE costs another $1,000.

According to the dealer bulletin, pricing increases took effect for 2022 orders on Dec. 8.

Ford keeps making Mustang MachE SUVs. Supply chain concerns continue to make it difficult for manufacturers to ramp up manufacturing of EVs.

The Mach-E GT unleashes the electric SUV’s capabilities. 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Expect the 2023 model to have the same 480 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque as the 2022. Extended Range batteries go 290 miles.
The Mach-E GT is fast and practical, but is it affordable? The Mach-E GT with Extended Range and Performance upgrades costs $80,000. It’s the best model since it has vintage Mustang muscle car performance, but few average consumers will choose it.

Should you buy the Mustang Mach-E ?

2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E costs more than the initial model. It’s less desirable for the typical buyer now that it may not qualify for the federal electric vehicle tax credit. The Mach-E isn’t for everyone, but it’s practical and fast.
